Maintaining social cohesion in the family, living together, fulfilling each other’s needs, and fulfilling each other’s rights are part of Islamic teachings. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has narrated many hadiths on the prohibition of social cohesion and division in the Ummah. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was very afraid of isolation and division. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) always ordered gathering and unity. When there are three of them, he does not intend to do so. (Malik) It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Satan intends to do so, but once he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw that when a caravan disembarked, the people scattered here and there to rest, as if they had no connection. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) liked the scene and made it hateful.
It is not permissible for a Muslim to
It was narrated from Abu Tha’labah that when people would disembark at a certain destination, they would spread out into different passes and valleys. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: This division of yours is from Satan. Later, whenever they disembarked, they would sit together, as if a cloth were thrown over them, it would cover them. This is the effect of the unification of feelings, the exchange of love, and the arrangement of ranks. It was narrated from Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: It is not permissible for a Muslim to separate his Muslim brother for more than three nights. So, one of them should turn away and the other should turn away. The best of the two is the one who is the first to greet his relatives. (Muslim) A poor man who maintains relations with his relatives is better than a rich man who cuts off relations with them. (Khazainat al-Akhlaq)
The martyrs will envy them
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There are some servants of Allah the Holy for whom pulpits will be laid out on the Day of Resurrection and the Prophets (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the martyrs will envy them, and they will neither be prophets nor martyrs.” The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who will they be? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Those who love and maintain mutual relations only for the sake of Allah Almighty. In another place, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, a man will be brought who has done good deeds in this world but will be punished because he has caused division among the Ummah by something.
Sitting with righteous people
It is narrated from Abu Razin (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: “Shall I not tell you something on which the religion revolves (largely) and through which you can attain the good of this world and the Hereafter? First, hold fast to the gatherings of the people of remembrance, and second, when you are alone, keep your tongue active with the remembrance of Allah as much as possible, and third, love for the sake of Allah alone and hate for the sake of Allah alone.” (Saiqi fi Shaab al-Iman) This is also known from experience. Good company is the root of all religion, the truth of religion, the sweetness of religion, the strength of religion, the best of all means is good company… (Hayat-ul-Islameen)
تنہائی سے حفاظت کیلئے سنتیں
خاندان میں اجتماعیت برقرار رکھنا اور آپس میں ساتھ رہنا اور ایک دوسرے کی ضرورتوں کو پورا کرنا آپس کے حقوق ادا کرنا یہ اسلامی تعلیمات کا ایک حصہ ہے۔ امت میں اجتماعیت ہونے اور تفرقہ بازی کی ممانعت پر حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کئی جگہ احادیث ارشاد فرمائی ہیں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اعتزال و تفرقہ سے بہت زیادہ ڈرتے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمیشہ اجتماع و اتحاد کا حکم دیتے۔ حضرت سعید بن المسیب رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ سے جب تین ہو جاتے ہیں تو پھر ان کا ارادہ نہیں کرتا۔ (مالک) روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: شیطان ایک اور دوکا تو ارادہ کرتا ہے مگر ایک دفعہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دیکھا کہ جب قافلہ اتر اتو لوگ آرام کرنے کے لیے ادھر اُدھر متفرق ہو گئے گویا ان میں کوئی تعلق ہی نہیں ہے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے منظر کو پسند فرمایا اور اس سے نفرت دلائی۔
مسلمان کے لیے جائز نہیں کہ
حضرت ابوثعلبہ سے روایت ہے کہ جب لوگ کسی منزل پر اترتے تو مختلف دروں اور وادیوں میں پھیل جاتے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تمہارا یہ افتراق شیطان کی طرف سے ہے۔ بعد ازاں وہ جب کبھی بھی اترتے تو ایک دوسرے سے مل کر بیٹھتے کہ اگر ان پر ایک کپڑا ڈال دیا جاتا تو وہ ان کو احاطہ کر لیتا، یہ احساسات کے متحد ہونے، تبادلہ محبت اور انتظام صفوف کا اثر ہے۔ حضرت ابوایوب انصاری رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مسلمان کے لیے جائز نہیں کہ اپنے مسلمان بھائی کو تین راتوں سے زیادہ (قطع تعلقی کر کے چھوڑے رکھے) تو دونوں میں سے یہ ادھر کومہ پھیر لے اور وہ ادھر کومہ پھیر لے اور دونوں میں افضل وہ ہے جو (میل جول کرنے کے لیے) سلام میں پہل کرے۔ (مسلم) تنگ دست آدمی جو رشتہ داروں سے میل ملاپ رکھے، اس مالدار سے اچھا ہے جو ان کے ساتھ قطع تعلق کرے۔ (خزینۃ الاخلاق)
حضرات شہداء کرام ان پر رشک فرمائیں گے
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: “خداوند قدوس کے کچھ اس طرح بندے ہیں کہ قیامت کے دن کے جن کے واسطے منبر بچھائے جائیں گے اور حضرات انبیاء علیہم السلام اور حضرات شہداء کرام ان پر رشک فرمائیں گے اور وہ نہ تو نبی ہوں گے اور نہ شہید ہوں گے۔” حضرات صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ! وہ کون ہوں گے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا وہ لوگ ہیں جو صرف خداوند تعالیٰ کے واسطے باہمی محبت اور تعلق قائم رکھتے ہیں۔ ایک اور جگہ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا جس کا مفہوم یہ ہے: قیامت میں ایک شخص لایا جائے گا جس نے دنیا میں اچھے اعمال کیے ہوں گے مگر عذاب میں ڈالا جائے گا کیونکہ اس نے کسی بات سے اُمت میں تفریق ڈالی ہوگی۔
نیک لوگوں کے پاس بیٹھنا
حضرت ابو رزین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ان سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: “کیا میں تم کو ایسی بات نہ بتلاؤں جس پر اس دین کا (بڑا) مدار ہے جس سے تم دنیار آخرت کی بھلائی حاصل کر سکتے ہو؟ ایک تو اہل ذکر کی مجالس کو مضبوط پکڑ لو اور دوسرے جب تنہا ہوا کرو جہاں تک ممکن ہو ذکر اللہ کے ساتھ زبان کو متحرک رکھو اور تیسرے اللہ تعالی ہی کے لیے محبت رکھو اور اللہ تعالیٰ ہی کے لیے بغض رکھو۔” (سیقی فی شعب الایمان) یہ بات تجربہ سے بھی معلوم ہوتی ہے۔ صحبت نیک جڑ ہے تمام دین کی حقیقت دین کی حلاوت دین کی قوت کے جتنے ذریعے ہیں سب سے بڑھ کر ذریعہ ان چیزوں کا صحبت نیک ہے … (حیات اسلامین)
