Tilawat?
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The one who recites the Quran will be told on the Day of Resurrection: “Stand up and recite the Quran with a good voice, as you used to recite it in the world, and rise one degree higher in prayer with each verse. Your place of residence is at the last verse of your recitation.” (Tirmidhi)
That is, as long as you continue reciting, you will rise in degrees higher and higher.
It was narrated from Hazrat Uthman (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“The best of you is he who acquires knowledge of the Quran and teaches it to others.” (Sahih Bukhari, Ma’arif al-Hadith)
It was narrated from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah, the Exalted, said: Whoever is occupied with the Qur’an in My remembrance and in asking and supplicating Me, I will give him something better than what I give to those who ask and supplicate. And the word of Allah has the same greatness and superiority over other words as Allah has over His creation. (Jami’ al-Tirmidhi, Sunan Darimi, Sha’b al-Iman by al-Bayhaqi, Ma’arif al-Hadith)
It was narrated from Ubaydah ibn Ashiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O people of the Qur’an! Do not make the Qur’an your support and support, but recite it during the days and nights as it is rightfully due, and spread it out, and read it with interest and enjoyment, and ponder over it, hoping that you will benefit from it, and its reward will be immediate (in due time). (Shu’b al-Iman by al-Bayhaqi, Ma’arif al-Hadith)
It was narrated from ‘Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Whoever has mastered the Quran and recites it fluently in a good manner will be with the honorable, loyal and obedient angels. And whoever recites the Quran (with difficulty due to lack of good memory) in such a way that he gets stuck in it, he will get two rewards; one for reciting and the other for toiling and struggling.” (Sahih Muslim, Sahih Bukhari, Ma’arif al-Hadith)
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Whoever recites a letter of the Quran, he has perfected a good deed, and this good deed is equal to ten good deeds according to the law of generosity of Allah Almighty. (To clarify further, he said) I do not say that ‘Alm’ is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.” (Jami’ al-Tirmidhi, Sunan al-Darimi, Ma’rif al-Hadith)
Dua is accepted at the time of finishing the Quran
It is stated in authentic hadiths that special mercy of Allah is revealed at the time of finishing the Quran. Imam Tafsir Hazrat Mujahid says that the companions used to gather and pray at the time of finishing the Quran and they used to say that special mercy of Allah is revealed at the time of finishing the Quran.
And it is narrated with authentic chains of transmission from Hazrat Hassan (RA) that when he finished reciting the Quran, he would gather his family and relatives and pray. (Adhkar an-Nawawi, p. 49)
“How do you recite in prayer?”
Ubayy recited Surah Fatiha to him. He said:
“By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! No Surah like it has been revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, or even in the Quran itself. This is the Seven Repetitions and the Great Quran that Allah has given me.” (Jami’ Tirmidhi, Ma’rif al-Hadith)
Surah Al-Baqarah and Aal-Imran?
It was narrated from Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say:
“Recite the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Especially Surah Al-Zuhr and Surah Al-Inn, i.e. its two important and illuminating Surahs, Al-Baqarah and Aal-Imran) both of them will intercede for their reciters on the Day of Resurrection. (Sahih Muslim, Ma’rif al-Hadith)
Surah Al-Kahf
It was narrated from Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, there will be light for him between the two Fridays.” (Dawaat al-Kabir by al-Suyuti, Ma’arif al-Hadith)
Surah Yaseen
It was narrated from Ma’qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Whoever recites Surah Yaseen seeking the pleasure of Allah, his previous sins will be f
اللہ اکبر
اللہ اکبر قرآن پاک ایسی عظیم چیز ہے کہ اگر کوئی پڑھنے والا اسے سنتا رہے یہاں تک کہ وہ اسے پڑھنا سیکھ لے تو اس کے یہ نیکی اس اضافے سے بھی بڑھ کر ہے۔ لیے اجر وثواب سے لبریز ہو جاتا ہے۔ (مسلم)
تلاوت
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قرآن پڑھنے والے سے قیامت کے دن کہا جائے گا: کھڑے ہو جاؤ اور اچھی آواز کے ساتھ قرآن پڑھو جس طرح تم دنیا میں پڑھا کرتے تھے، اور ہر آیت کے ساتھ نماز میں ایک درجہ اونچا کرو۔ آپ کا قیام گاہ آپ کی تلاوت کی آخری آیت پر ہے۔ (ترمذی) یعنی جب تک آپ تلاوت کرتے رہیں گے، آپ درجات بلند کرتے جائیں گے۔
قرآن کی فضیلت
حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
’’تم میں سے بہتر وہ ہے جو قرآن کا علم حاصل کرے اور دوسروں کو سکھائے‘‘۔ (صحیح بخاری، معارف الحدیث) سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: جو شخص میرے ذکر اور مجھ سے مانگنے اور دعا کرنے میں مشغول رہے، میں اسے اس سے بہتر عطا کروں گا جو میں مانگنے والوں کو دیتا ہوں۔ اور اللہ کے کلام کو دوسرے الفاظ پر وہی فضیلت اور فضیلت حاصل ہے جو اللہ کی مخلوق پر ہے۔ (جامع الترمذی، سنن دارمی، شعب الایمان از بیہقی، معارف الحدیث)
عبیدہ بن اشعیہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اے اہل قرآن! قرآن کو اپنا سہارا اور سہارا نہ بناؤ، بلکہ دن اور راتوں میں اس کی تلاوت کرو جیسا کہ اس کا حق ہے، اور اسے پھیلایا کرو، اور اسے شوق اور لطف سے پڑھو، اور اس میں غور و فکر کرو، اس امید پر کہ تم اس سے فائدہ اٹھاؤ گے، اور اس کا اجر فوراً ملے گا۔ (شعب الایمان از بیہقی، معارف الحدیث)
قرآن پڑھنے کا اجر
سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
“جس نے قرآن مجید پر عبور حاصل کیا اور اسے اچھے طریقے سے پڑھا وہ معزز، وفادار اور فرمانبردار فرشتوں کے ساتھ ہوگا۔ اور جو شخص قرآن کو (حافظ نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے مشکل سے) اس طرح پڑھے کہ وہ اس میں پھنس جائے تو اسے دو ثواب ملے گا۔ ایک تلاوت کے لیے اور دوسرا محنت اور جدوجہد کے لیے۔‘‘ (صحیح مسلم، صحیح بخاری، معارف الحدیث)
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
“جس نے قرآن کا ایک حرف پڑھا اس نے ایک نیکی مکمل کر لی، اور یہ نیکی اللہ تعالیٰ کے قانون کے مطابق دس نیکیوں کے برابر ہے۔ (مزید وضاحت کے لیے فرمایا) میں یہ نہیں کہتا کہ الم ایک حرف ہے بلکہ الف ایک حرف ہے، لام ایک حرف ہے اور میم ایک حرف ہے۔ (جامع الترمذی، سنن الدارمی، معارف الحدیث)
ختم قرآن کے وقت دعا قبول ہوتی ہے۔
صحیح احادیث میں آیا ہے کہ ختم قرآن کے وقت اللہ تعالیٰ کی خاص رحمت نازل ہوتی ہے۔ امام تفسیر حضرت مجاہد رحمۃ اللہ علیہ فرماتے ہیں کہ صحابہ کرام ختم قرآن کے وقت جمع ہو کر دعا مانگتے تھے اور کہتے تھے کہ ختم قرآن کے وقت اللہ تعالیٰ کی خاص رحمت نازل ہوتی ہے۔
اور حضرت حسن رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جب وہ قرآن مجید کی تلاوت سے فارغ ہوتے تو اپنے اہل و عیال اور رشتہ داروں کو جمع کرتے اور نماز پڑھتے۔ (اذکار النبوی ص 49)
“نماز میں کیسے پڑھتے ہو؟”
ابی نے اسے سورہ فاتحہ پڑھ کر سنائی۔ فرمایا:
“اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے! تورات، انجیل، زبور، حتیٰ کہ قرآن میں بھی اس جیسی کوئی سورت نازل نہیں ہوئی۔ یہ سات تکرار اور عظیم قرآن ہے جو اللہ نے مجھے دیا ہے۔ (جامع ترمذی، معارف الحدیث)
سورہ بقرہ اور آل عمران
ابو امامہ باہلی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا:
“قرآن کی تلاوت کیا کرو، کیونکہ یہ قیامت کے دن اپنے پڑھنے والوں کے لیے سفارشی بن کر آئے گا۔”
(خصوصاً سورۃ الظہر اور سورۃ الان، یعنی اس کی دو اہم اور روشن سورتیں، البقرہ اور آل عمران) یہ دونوں قیامت کے دن اپنے پڑھنے والوں کی شفاعت کریں گی۔ (صحیح مسلم، معارف الحدیث)
سورہ کہف
ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
“جو شخص جمعہ کے دن سورۃ الکہف کی تلاوت کرے گا، اس کے لیے دونوں جمعوں کے درمیان نور ہو جائے گا۔” (دعوت الکبیر از السیوطی، معارف الحدیث)
سورہ یٰسین
معقل بن یسار رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
“جس نے اللہ کی رضا کے لیے سورہ یٰسین کی تلاوت کی، اس کے پچھلے گناہ معاف ہو جائیں گے۔
