A woman’s ritual of ihram
Women should wear all sewn clothes and do the things that are written on it before entering Ihram that are appropriate for them. If it is not the time of Makr and menstruation has begun, then they should perform two rak’ahs of Nafl with the intention of entering Ihram. If it is not the time of Makr and menstruation has begun, then they should not go out and perform Ghusl or just perform Wudu and sit facing the Qiblah, remove the cloth from their face and make the intention of Umrah. The intention of Umrah is: “O Allah! I intend to perform Umrah for Your pleasure, make it easy for me and accept it!” (Amen) [Mu’alim al-Hajjaj]. Immediately after that, they should say Labbayk three times in a low voice or call another woman or her mahram. After that, they should recite Durood Shareef in a low voice and pray: O Allah! I ask You for Your pleasure and Paradise and I seek refuge in You from Your displeasure and Hell. (Amen) [Main ritual]. Take the ihram. Now the women should recite the Talbiyah in a low voice, which has been explained above.
The wearing of Ihram for women
The restrictions of Ihram will begin as soon as the intention and Talbiyah are recited. Men should keep their heads and faces uncovered, and women should keep only their faces uncovered at all times, while sleeping and walking. At no time should they be covered with a cloth or covered with a cloth, since it is obligatory for women to cover themselves from non-mahram men, and it is not permissible to remain uncovered, which is a grave sin. Therefore, when women go in front of non-mahram men during Ihram, they should wear a hat on their head that has a book on the cardboard that does not reveal their face and has a thin net sewn in front of their eyes so that they can see the way. They should wear a burqa over the top of this hat, put the book of the burqa behind them, and cover the rest of their body with the burqa, and the niqab of the hat in front of their face should also be kept away from their face. Prohibited things in Ihram?
The following things are prohibited in the state of Ihram, and doing them is a sin and a fine is also obligatory. Therefore, in some cases, blood is obligatory. That is, sacrifice is obligatory, and in some cases, charity is obligatory, and in some cases, only sin is involved, blood etc. are not obligatory. If such a mistake is made, then one should seek the ruling of the reputable fatwa scholars and act accordingly or consult reputable books. [Umdat al-Manasik]In the state of Ihram, men are prohibited from wearing sewn clothes, and it is also prohibited to wear shoes that hide the protruding bone in the middle of the back of the foot. However, women should wear sewn clothes and it is also permissible for them to use any type of shoes. [Mu’alim al-Hajjaj]
In the state of Ihram, it is not permissible to wear underwear, nor is it permissible to tie a bandage around the entire face. It is prohibited to apply perfumed sarma. However, it is permissible to apply juice without perfume, but it is better not to apply it. (Hayat) It is prohibited to use perfumed soap. (Fatwa)
How to wear ihram for umrah?
Committing the following acts after entering Ihram is makruh and sinful, one should take precautions to avoid them, if committed by mistake, one should repent and seek forgiveness, but there is no penalty for them.
Eating paan with cloves, calamus, and fragrant tobacco is makruh, but eating plain paan is permissible. Removing dirt from the body and washing the body with unscented soap is makruh. Combing the hair of the head and beard is also makruh. If there is a risk of hair breaking and falling out, scratching the head is also makruh, but scratching gently so that the hair and lice do not fall out is permissible. [Umdat al-Manasik]
